Welcome to heictopng.io (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a free HEIC/HEIF to PNG conversion tool operated by the team behind SocialBu. By accessing or using heictopng.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

heictopng.io is a free, browser-based tool that converts HEIC/HEIF image files to PNG format. All conversion happens locally in your browser — your files are never uploaded to our servers, and we do not store, view, or have access to the images you convert.

2. Use of the Service

You may use heictopng.io for personal, educational, or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Service by, any third party.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to convert images that you do not have the legal right to use or that infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the operation of the Service (e.g., through automated scraping, bots, or excessive requests intended to degrade performance);
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except as permitted by applicable law;
• Use the Service to convert or process any unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content, including content that exploits or harms minors.

3. No Account, No Upload

heictopng.io does not require account registration and does not upload your files to any server for conversion. Because conversion is processed client-side in your browser, we have no access to, and cannot recover, any files you process using the Service.

The current batch limit is up to 10 files per conversion, with a maximum file size of 50 MB per file. These limits may change at any time without notice as we improve the Service.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, text, graphics, and underlying code, is owned by the operators of heictopng.io and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of any images you convert using the Service — we make no claim to your content.

5. “As Is” Service — No Warranty

heictopng.io is provided free of charge, on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Image conversion quality may vary depending on the source file and your browser/device.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Because files are processed locally and never transmitted to us, you are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of original files before conversion.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or reference other tools and services (including SocialBu). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

8. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Use periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or block access to the Service for any user found to be violating these Terms or misusing the Service.

10. Governing Law and Regulatory Compliance

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any disputes are subject to the courts of the jurisdiction where the Service operator is registered, unless local law requires otherwise.

Because heictopng.io converts your images entirely within your browser and never uploads, stores, or views your files, we do not act as a “data controller” over your image content under frameworks like the GDPR (EU/EEA), UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA (California). Any limited data we do process (such as anonymized analytics or cookies) is handled consistent with those laws’ principles of data minimization and purpose limitation, and in line with the ePrivacy Directive, as detailed in our Cookie Policy. Users in these regions retain the rights afforded to them under their applicable law, including the right to access, delete, or restrict any personal data we may hold, and to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

If any part of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer or data protection law in your jurisdiction, that law takes precedence, and the rest of these Terms remain in effect.
